Everything we needed

Everything was great. Not too far away from Stevens Pass, and the entire cabin was really cozy. Tons of DVDs and games, plus it felt fairly secluded even though neighbors aren't far away. The road going to the cabin was the only bad part. Lot of pot holes so be careful not to speed down the road. Other than that, great place. We all had a great time. Cabin had everything we needed and wasn't that far away from stores, gas stations, and the pass. All the amenities of the cabin worked great. TV was a newer flat panel with a built in DVD player. And the stereo used an AUX jack instead of the iPod dock. This was great for us, because we had a mixture of Zune and iPod users. Hot tub was obviously the main attraction. The cabin said it can only house up to 6 people, but Mysty Mountain was very accommodating even though we had 7. Hot tub fit all 7 fine, and everyone had a bed to sleep in. We'll definitely book through Mysty Mountain next time we plan a snowboarding trip. -M

Wonderful romantic weekend!

Rising Sun Retreat was a wonderful romantic weekend, we loved the view, the master suite had a balcony overlooking the river, the hot tub was incredible, the ambiance was perfect with candles, an ipod dock for my dinner music, there was even a guitar there so I could serenade my wife! We strolled to the river and watched the salmon jump (!), and I took their recommendation to hike Bridal Veil Falls and this advice was spot on (short hike, huge rewards with the view at the top!). Something happened where we couldn't get the water to work one day, but we called and they had someone there THAT DAY (Sunday) to check it out and got it going again. Amazing, I didn't even know there were plumbers that worked that far out in the country, much less on a weekend. Still, the cabin had a good supply of filtered water for emergency use so we would have been fine either way. -Jerry

Excellent Cabin

We had a lovely time, very cozy. No complaints! Be comfortable starting a fire in the wood stove (which was very cozy) as it is the main heating source, but they provided more than enough wood, instructions, and supplies (there is supplemental heating as well in each room.) View of the river was nice, hot tub was clean and functional. Very relaxing time. -Evan M.
